ISDG × #NSFF2022 Okpik: Little Village in the Arctic (World Premiere) & QIPISA + Directors Panel




Our first in-person event of Michaelmas term 2022 'ISDG × #NSFF2022 Okpik: Little Village in the Arctic (World Premiere) & QIPISA + Panel with the Directors' took place on the 2nd of November 2022 in the McDonald Seminar Room in the McDonald Institute for Archaeological Research, Downing Site, Cambridge. The event is collaboration with the 16th Native Spirit Indigenous Film Festival and celebrate this year's International Inuit Day on the 7th of November.


We are honoured to hold the international premiere of the film Okpik: Little Village in the Arctic and QIPISA. We are grateful for the participation of the directors:

  • Tiffany Ayalik (co-Director Okpik, Inuit from Kugluktuk region, TV presenter and film actor)

  • Myna Ishulutak (Director QIPISA, Inuktituk language teacher & CBC Tausunni radio show host)

The panel is moderated by:

  • Stephanie Land (NHS, Indigiqueer of mixed Inuipiaq and White heritage)

We are also grateful for the presence of:

  • Tweed (Director of Native Spirit Festival)
